Steven Carpenter has comprehensive experience in project design and management
of electrically complex structures where reliability is critical. Prior to
joining KCKA in 1980 he was a communications specialist designing microwave,
base station, and repeater sites with State of California Division of Highways.
Steven has over 25 years of experience in the specification of communication
systems, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, emergency generation of
power and security and fire alarm systems, integrating these systems into a
total building design. His significant designs include the four State of
California Department of Justice Crime Laboratories located in Riverside,
Fresno, Redding, and Ripon. He also designed the County of Sacramento Systems
and Data Processing Facility as well as the Sacramento County Coroner and Crime
Lab.

Donald Knobloch is proficient in the art of developing complex
electronic/electrical concepts into concise working drawings. Under his
guidance KCKA has successfully completed designs for over $25 million in
electrical construction cost over the past four years. He has 20 years of
comprehensive experience in electrical systems design for acute care hospitals,
ambulatory surgical clinics and medical office buildings. His extensive
experience in the application of CA Title 22 specifications for essential
services buildings has enabled him to direct and complete many large projects
requiring essential services design for the University of Davis Medical Center,
Kaiser Hospitals, and Sutter Hospitals. He maintains effective working
relationships with the California Office of Statewide Heath Planning and
Development and the California State Fire Marshal.
